Chaplaincy Services & Appointments: www.muslimspace.org/chaplain

What is Chaplaincy?
A chaplain is a spiritual professional with unique skillsets, connected to spiritual and emotional care. They often work in hospitals, prisons, and universities. Lately, more and more Muslim communities are expanding their care team to include chaplains as well! Muslim Space now offers our very own community chaplaincy practice, thanks to a Field Education partnership with Hartford Seminary allowing for a chaplain resident to serve with us for 30 weeks. Under the supervision of professional chaplains at Hartford Seminary, in addition to the Muslim Space Executive Board, our chaplain resident will provide weekly office hours, online programming, virtual 1:1 confidential sessions and a spiritual formation group for those seeking spiritual support, as well as as being present for the needs of community members and new members. Lastly, the chaplain resident will serve the community and the profession of chaplaincy at large by creating awareness of chaplaincy and spiritual care within the community, through social media posts, “live” sessions, guest lectures, and other educational mediums.
