Salaam, Shalom, Peace!
My name is Usama, and I am an Austin area native, born in Round Rock, just trying to help my community in any way I can. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Government and then received my Masters of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I currently work at Austin Seminary as the Program Coordinator for the Office of Student Affairs and Vocation, as well as serve as the Resident Chaplain for Muslim Space. Apart from serving as a community chaplain, I serve as a chaplain at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Trinity University. I am very passionate about community organizing and service to others. Photography and creative design just came to me by accident, but I haven't looked back ever since taking my first few pictures at a campus event and designing my first flyers.
For photography, I've gone from taking pictures at organization events, to birthday parties, to graduation pictures and portraits, to weddings/engagements, sporting events, and corporate events. I always prioritize the quality of photos and customer satisfaction for those who seek my help before any personal gain, and through my business 40 Acres Photography, I hope to accomplish that.
As far as flyers and designs go, I still do most of my work for organizations, businesses and non-profits, with some freelance efforts in between.
I continue to learn new things daily, and aspire to be able to use my talents in photography and design to help those around me.
